The contract
Expose POST /v1/chat, /v1/embeddings, /v1/images, GET /v1/models with a
stable request/response shape. Provider adapters translate between the unified
contract and each upstream SDK.
Why it pays off
Clients integrate once. Adding or swapping a provider is a backend-only change. Token accounting and rate limiting live in one place, so billing is consistent across every model.
